The Iranian Hospital laboratory is the core lab and testing center serving 12 departmental wards comprising 220 beds, an emergency department, intensive care units and 50 outpatient clinics.
The Laboratory relies on ground-breaking and automated technologies and logistics that expedite test result efficiency, accuracy and turnaround.
Our trained staffs of medical technologists, investigators and scientists are involved in all phases of sample analysis, direct and supervise lab operations. Furthermore, each lab department is overseen by specialized medical experts that validate and certify results and collaborate in the diagnosis, care and treatment of the patients.
In addition to providing routine serological, biochemical, hematological and hormonal analysis, we also have a very well established microbiology department equipped with cutting-edge technologies which provide specific and accurate bacterial identification and antibiotic sensitivity. Additionally, we are able to identify and report both anaerobic and fastidious microorganisms. Recently we have introduced the Quantiferon Gold screening for Tuberculosis-a technology that is not readily available in the region.
We have a recognized histopathology department that delivers timely, affordable, accurate, and professional histopathology services, including immunohistochemical staining. Consultations for proper collection and fixation of tissues, processing of fixed or frozen tissues, microtomy, and staining are available.
Our prenatal diagnostic department comprises trained technicians that perform prenatal screening tests.
We are very proud to announce the addition of a fully equipped molecular genetic lab that is responsible for the performance of molecular diagnostic tests for nucleic acid targets found in a variety of settings in medicine. At the moment we are capable of testing infectious diseases including, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), HPV genotyping, respiratory infections, gastrointestinal infections, meningitis/encephalitis, and blood culture identification.
