Antimicrobial Resistance Program
Antibiotic resistance is an important global public health challenge and threatens our ability to treat infectious diseases. We at Iranian Hospital Dubai do our part in this global mission by being a member of the National AMR surveillance and establishing stringent IPC and C Programs.
Contributing to the AMR surveillance data is an essential approach to: (1) define the scope of the resistance problem, (2) develop interventions that improve the appropriate application of antimicrobial agents, and (3) decrease resistance selection pressure. We are pleased to host Dr Jens Thomsen MD MPH. Head, UAE National Sub-Committee for AMR Surveillance.; UAE Focal Point for WHO-GLASS. ; Section Head, Environmental Health, Public Health Center, DoH- to discuss the updates on resistance levels and trends in the UAE and at Iranian Hospital Dubai.
